When I was a freshman in high school my older half-brother came home for the weekend and was all excited that he had taken this class, called Silva Mind Control; that was the name until the government doing experiments on soldiers gave ‘Mind Control’ a bad name - so it was changed to Silva Method. When he told me this, he gave me a couple of the cassettes (remember those?). I used the Silva Method Headache/Pain control technique to get rid of my headache without taking an aspirin. I got headaches a lot as a kid. I then used the Dream Control technique to program a dream to solve a teenage angst problem I was having; who did not have those as a teenager? I had that dream that night that gave me an insight as to how to handle the problem Because of the relief I felt without medication, I especially continued to use the Headache/Pain Control technique to eliminate headaches when they occurred. This resulted in the next phase where the occurrences of headaches decreased continuously until my body forgot how to create headaches. By the time I went to college I no longer had headaches, cramping colon and other stress-related dis-orders. This is the typical story for anyone who uses these techniques. Also, I discovered that I had learned from my family that the way you deal with stress is to make yourself ill. Through this class I learned to handle stress differently and in a more healthy manner. Another side benefit is that the other illnesses I had learned to have (cramping colon, nausea and others) also stopped happening. I had to wait until I finished high school, then got my electrical engineering degree, then took my first job overseas and worked for a little over a year... when I took my first week off I flew to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and took the original BLS class in a 4-day 8 hours/day format. This was the beginning of many life openings for me... It was as if my mind had gone from seeing life in a 3-dimensional way to the next level. I was sensing more information from ‘unknown’ sources. I became a stand out engineer because I solved problems using both my strong logical mind training PLUS this new training in my creative mind. I received insights and answers to questions from a different place, in addition to the logical brain. This got me noticed by management. It also opened me up to reconsider how I believed the nature of life was and what is possible with the Mind. This was the beginning for my second career. Beginning then as I continued my engineering career I also began to research more about the Mind. With continued practice of the techniques the use of my Whole Mind became even greater and made an even more noticeable impact in my life. |
